Leaving on a jetplane

I sent my room mate for the past 3 years back to Malaysia for good. I was holding back my tears when we big our goodbyes. One less travel buddy and no more pillow talk with her at night. Actually she's the first person from our batch to go back for good. I still remember middle of last year when she said that she doesn't want to continue with her honors, I thought she was joking at that time. But when she went through the boarding gate this morning, reality hit me that she is going home for good and she won't be with me in my last year of degree days. With my other housemates still on holiday, the house is so quiet. Luckily, there's a family that is renting one of the other room and my new room mate; or else I'll be all alone at home. I had a though this morning, wouldn't it be good if I was the one who got on the plane and going back for good? Patience..10 more months to go before I'm done with my degree.

Today my high school peeps went to our batch mate's wedding reception which I hoped i was there as well. But the timing was not right and I need to be here in Brisbane. But seriously I wished I was in Malaysia right now. My family is having fun in Johor without me and damn how I wish I was there.

To make things worst, yesterday our rent application for the house that I want was rejected. We were only a few hours late and the house was given to someone else. How devastated I was when I called the agent and the agent said that we were late. Maybe the house was not meant for me. I believed that there's a better offer waiting for me.

On the bright side, I went out with Hana, Belle & Ernest. Good thing I didn't turn down their offer to watch Valentine's Day. Yes, we watched Valentine's day on valentine's day. The movie was superb and I laughed till I forgot all my problems for a while. The movie really made my day. After the movie, we walked on Kurilpa Bridge. The bridge opened end of last year and none of us had gone on it. We walked on the bridge crossing Brisbane River towards the city. Took some photos on the bridge as cogitation.
  

Tomorrow I'll be back in the lab for the third week of my final year. Seriously weekend seems to fly real quick. Hopefully I could start my experiment this week and start my research proposal.
