Hi all, This post is a continuation from my post yesterday on my recent trip to Wales. Day 3 We started the day quite early as we wanted to cover a lot of places today and the weather looks promising. We departed from our accommodation around 8 in the morning and the first stop was Newport Sands Beach, a beautiful beach with breathtaking view and surroundings. The place was filled with families taking their children and dogs out for a walk. Its very family friendly. After that we went to Strumble Head Lighthouse which I think is still a functional lighthouse at present. The panorama around this area was seriously beautiful especially the cliffs and the sea. The only downside was the weather. Well, what do you expect on a winder day in the UK. This is the best that we can get and at least it didn't rain. Thank God. Hi all, I saw in the news a few months back about an old Quran manuscript that was found at the University of Birmingham and I was really excited as they news mentioned it could be from the Prophet Muhammad's time. So, when I heard that they were going to display the manuscript at the University of Birmingham (so close to Coventry, but I still have to take 2 trains to get there), I had to go there and see it for myself. To get there, I took the train from Canley to Birmingham New Street and then changed train to University. The exhibition hall is about 10minutes from the University train station. Hi there, Now that I'm done with student life, I can finally update my travel stories here. Especially the places that I visited in the last two months when my cousin and my dad came for a visit. I'll start with a place that is quite close to Coventry, where people from all over the world come to visit. The place is called Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. This is actually my third time visiting this place (The first time I was here was when I visited UK back in 2009. I came here again last winter with my mum and my sister) but it's the first time I entered the birthplace and other houses related to Shakespeare's life. Hi all, How's are you all coping with the fasting month? I hope everything is going fine so far. This post will be about my recent 2 days 1 night trip to Shropshire, a county in the West Midlands, England. The trip was kind of impromptu as I was invited by my junior who wanted a company for this trip as she wanted a getaway before flying back to Malaysia for her summer holiday. As I was busy with dissertation and class I kind of think I need a getaway before I immerse myself in full on dissertation mode; though I've got another module to complete before I can focus 100% on dissertation. So we took a the Virgin train from Coventry to Shrewsbury (direct service) and the journey was about one hour and a half. Once we arrived at Shresbury, we had to change train to get to Church Stretton.
