It's Friday again

My favourite day of the week has come again, which means I have 2 days holiday ahead of me. Yeay for that. I've just realized that I've been updating this blog once a week now. It's not that I'm neglecting this blog, I've been quite busy recently. I'll update on what's been happening for the past week and a half.

I've been ditching my lab work for a week now to concentrate on my research proposal. I had a meeting with him on Wednesday discussing my draft. Due to my last minute work, I only managed to finish the draft the night before and emailed it to him at midnight. Apparently, we were supposed to send it to him at least 2 days before that as he's so busy during the day and don't have time to read it. Luckily he read it and I got it back with lots of blue scribbles all over it (he didn't use red pen). Now I had to mend my proposal and hopefully I don't need to do any more corrections after this.

Despite the tension that I was having due to the proposal, a good news came up. I might get my first publication soon. Well, the manuscript had just been accepted and InsyaAllah in 6 weeks time it will be out. I am so happy when I read her email. My first paper is finally being published. The other thing that made me happy is that my name will appear as the first author. So when people are citing that paper the citations will be Daud et. al. (ok fine nama abah yang akan keluar, bukan my name pun). Now that I got one paper out, I'm hoping that I can get more out in the future. InsyaAllah.
