Kuching with Drama Queens Day 1

The trip started with the drama of Bhai missing the flight as she got lost on her way to the airport, so she booked the next available flight at 11.45am.
At the airport before checking in

In addition, the flight delayed for two hours due to technical problem; if she never turned back, she would have made it to the flight. Well, it’s history now. Instead of landing in Kuching at 9am, we departed from KL at 9am. We arrived in Kuching at 11am and went to pick up our rental car before head to our accommodation to check ourselves in.
Landed at Kuching International Airport

On the way to the accommodation, we stopped at Attap Kopitiam for brunch as we were so hungry.

Then we checked in, freshened up and head back out again. We head back to the airport to pick Bhai up and went to Semenggoh Wildlife Park.
Bhai is here with us
By the time we reached the Wildlife Park, it started to rain heavily. We thought we wanted to change our tickets and come back another day. However, that was not possible. Therefore, we waited for the rain to slow down a bit and we parked our car very near the Orang Utan area instead of the normal visitor parking area. We managed to see 2 Orang Utans which was good enough as the others are hiding in their homes due to the rain.

After that, we head back to our accommodation area and parked the car there. We had very early dinner/tea at Popular Food Court on Carpenter Street, as Bhai was very hungry.

Then we went to Kuching Waterfront and took a sampan cruise ride along Sarawak River during sunset. The view was spectacularly beautiful and it’s something that I would suggest anybody planning to go to Kuching to try it out. We head to Attap Kopitian again for Sarawak Laksa supper and head back to our accommodation and called it a day.

For accomodation, we stayed at:

Berambih Lodge
104 Ewe Hai Street, Kuching.
I would not recommend this place. There are other accommodation on this street and Carpenter Street that are in better condition (from the outer look). However, the interior of this hostel especially the common area looks like the interior of a long house.
