Day 10: Our last day Down Under as we’re scheduled to fly back to Malaysia the next day. We started to the day by driving to West End Market. This was the place that we used to go at least once a fortnight to do grocery shopping as you can get a variety of fresh goods here for a reasonable price. Those days we took the citycat across the river and then bus with our trolley or Cole’s shopping bag to buy our pantry needs.  West End Market, just how I remembered it Our favourite vege and fruit stall during uni days We had our breakfast of Hungary doughnut, Langos and fresh fruits, then head we drove down to Gold Coast.  Choosing fruits for our breakfast Hungary doughnut, Langos, Strawberries and Cherries for breakfast Our destination for the day was Harbour town for some shopping before we went back home. Day 8: Today was a traveling day. We didn’t have anything planned for the day, all we know we are stopping at Glenn Innes to spend the night as we booked an accommodation there last night. From Newcastle we took the New England Highway. We took a different route back to Brisbane, as we didn’t want to follow the same route hoping to experience and/or see something different to our way down to Sydney. Scenery along the New England Highway The parallel route to New England Highway is the Pacific Highway, which uses the coastal route. This route is the inner land route and usually less busy than the Pacific Highway. Even though it’s the inner land route, don’t dream of going above the speed limit as there’s static speed cameras along the route and mind you it will cost you AUD300 if you ever caught of speeding in Australia. Day 4: Since it had been a long day yesterday, we decided to take our time today. We woke up at 8am and prepared food for our lunch. We boiled eggs and made egg sandwich with the items that we bought at Indooroopilly the other day. By the time we were all set and ready to go, it was already 10am. We head south towards Beaudessert and head towards Summerland Way.  We stopped for a short while at Beaudessert’s information centre to grab some maps that will help us during our trip.  Our first stop The scenery along the Summerland Way We then head to Lion’s Road Scenic Drive, a road that was built and funded by Kyogle’s branch of the Lions Club. Later on, we stopped for a while at Border’s Lookout. At Border Ranges National Park, we can see the historic spiral loop that was the first railway line that connects two states in Australia.
