Day 10: Our last day Down Under as we’re scheduled to fly back to Malaysia the next day. We started to the day by driving to West End Market. This was the place that we used to go at least once a fortnight to do grocery shopping as you can get a variety of fresh goods here for a reasonable price. Day 8: Today was a traveling day. We didn’t have anything planned for the day, all we know we are stopping at Glenn Innes to spend the night as we booked an accommodation there last night. From Newcastle we took the New England Highway. We took a different route back to Brisbane, as we didn’t want to follow the same route hoping to experience and/or see something different to our way down to Sydney. Scenery along the New England Highway The parallel route to New England Highway is the Pacific Highway, which uses the coastal route. This route is the inner land route and usually less busy than the Pacific Highway. Even though it’s the inner land route, don’t dream of going above the speed limit as there’s static speed cameras along the route and mind you it will cost you AUD300 if you ever caught of speeding in Australia. Day 3: We woke up a bit late today as it was raining. Actually, it was a very nice morning to sleep in. We got dressed for Ami’s wedding which was held at Holland Park Mosque. We reached there just in time for her wedding ceremony at the mosque. The ceremony was very simple; the imam gave us a short tazkirah on wedding and proceeds with the wedding vows. Once they’ve exchanged vows, the imam announced them husband and wife. They signed their marriage certificate there and got their certificate right away. Holland Park Mosque. Their reception was similar to a wedding reception in Malaysia with pelamin, photo booth and Malay food served during the reception. I met a lot of familiar faces during the reception. I even met an old friend whom I haven’t met since 2008 ...

Day 1: We took the night flight on 28 th November from KL to Gold Coast. It was a bit of a rush as Hana and I was still working on that day. We went home a bit early than we normally do, showered, had a light dinner and went straight to the airport.  At the airport, we met up with Ciktie and my aunt who will be joining us for this trip. We checked in a bit late as our friend’s friend was supposed to send her box to the airport for us to check in. By the time she arrived, it was 20 minutes before the check in counter close. Our bags ready to be checked in At the check in counter, we faced slight delay as the counter that we checked in, the computer suddenly hang when the person keyed in our details in the system. Therefore, she had to restart her computer and do everything again. Luckily, we were already at the counter, so we ended up the last one to check in for our flight.
