The World From My Eyes

It was a long weekend with public holiday on Monday and it was filled with spending time with nature. This trip was a last minute thing. My lab mates were planning to go camping at Binna Burra (not far from Nerang) and they had 1 more spot in the car, so they invited me to join them. As the AUG netball was postponed to the next weekend, I had nothing planned for the weekend. To avoid getting bored at home doing nothing, I decided to join them. The journey starts on Saturday afternoon and arrived at Binna Burra around sunset. That night we made bonfire, cook dinner on the fire and talked until midnight. This is my first time hanging out with my lab mates outside the lab. As much as I like their company in the lab, I like their company outside the lab more. Salam to all, Just want to share with all of you this orchestra that performed during UQ Centenary Celebration last week. They were awesome, you guys should check them out. They are not like the typical orchestra that just sit and play their instruments, they danced and played at the same time. Below are some vids that I managed to record during their performance at UQ. I had another unpleasant dream last night which made me woke up in tears  Luckily I don't remember anything about it. Please, no more bad dreams again after this, I hate it.

Salam to all, Today is the last day of my long weekend. I will be back at work tomorrow while the other students have the whole week off for their mid semester break. Oh how I miss being a student (even though I’m still one now). I miss the long holiday where I can travel and see other places. By the way, I just got back from a 2 days trip down south to Northern part of New South Wales. It was kind of last minute plan actually as me and Hana was planning to go to Sydney. But the flight was too expensive and we had our proposal submission this coming Wednesday made us ditch that plan. Then my housemate, Mia was planning a trip up to Sunshine Coast. Though I’ve been there couple of times already but as I want a getaway I might as well follow her. I don’t want to be stuck at home alone on a long weekend. It’s gonna be so boring. My favourite day of the week has come again, which means I have 2 days holiday ahead of me. Yeay for that. I've just realized that I've been updating this blog once a week now. It's not that I'm neglecting this blog, I've been quite busy recently. I'll update on what's been happening for the past week and a half. I've been ditching my lab work for a week now to concentrate on my research proposal. I had a meeting with him on Wednesday discussing my draft. Due to my last minute work, I only managed to finish the draft the night before and emailed it to him at midnight. Apparently, we were supposed to send it to him at least 2 days before that as he's so busy during the day and don't have time to read it. Luckily he read it and I got it back with lots of blue scribbles all over it ( he didn't use red pen ). Now I had to mend my proposal and hopefully I don't need to do any more corrections after this.
