Salam to all, It's been awhile since I've updated this blog. I was a bit occupied during the fasting month hence the lack of update for the past month. Well, it's already the month of Syawal where muslims around the world celebrates Eid Mubarak after a month of fasting. Talking about Eid, my Eid holiday is coming to an end and I'll be heading back to KL tomorrow. So this will be the last night I'll be spending at my grandparents house. When you talk about Eid in Malaysia, the first thing that comes to people's mind is ketupat and rendang (the famous dishes during Eid in Malaysia). These are usually the main dishes that are served during Eid. When I was a kid, I always wonder why my family never served these dishes during Eid even though they are mentioned in most Malay Eid songs. It's that time of the year again where our digestive system gets a break for a month.  This year, the fasting month starts this coming Sunday 29 June 2014.  So, to all my readers (ade ke readers?hehe)..  RAMADHAN KAREEM!! Image taken from Google image

I went out to eat with my colleagues yesterday to celebrate Vaani’s birthday. We decided to go to Food Foundry since it was close to our office. This is my first visit to this shop though I’ve heard about it previously. The interior Menu. The have a variety of choices We ordered three dishes for the 5 of us since none of us were that hungry and since I have a small appetite after my last fever I didn’t think that I’ll finish a whole meal for myself. In the end, we ordered seafood marinara pasta, aglio olio pasta and lamb shoulder (as per birthday girl request) as the main dishes. Back to square one.  My one and only hope got shattered today.  I was rejected by the two and when the email came today, saying that I was unsuccessful, I’m very disappointed.  But as much disappointment that I had, I know that I couldn’t be too sad.  I have to be composed and must have faith that something better is in store for me.  I guess Allah knows what’s best for me and maybe this is not the best for me now.  Shoulder straight and chin up, I will not give up.  I will try again next year and I will not stop trying until I get it, period.

It’s already the end of the month and tomorrow will be the half year mark for this year. Time really flies and half year is already gone. Bidding goodbye to the month of May means saying goodbye to my three beautiful friends. They are all going their separate ways for a better future (wedding, work and holiday). Yesterday I went for Zombie Run 2014 at Putrajaya in conjunction with Hari Belia 2014. There are various time slots and each time slots last 1 hour and we registered for the 5pm slot. Since there’s a few event going on at the same time in Putrajaya, we decided to gather at Wan Ling’s house, parked our car there and car pool to Putrajaya.  We left Wan Ling’s house about 3.30pm and reached Putrajaya at 4.10pm. There was congestion on the road heading towards Precinct 2, 3 and 4 so we decided to just park along the road side and walked to Precinct 4 as the Zombie Run was next to Galleria Precinct 4. The walk to the starting line was about 2km, but we had no choice as we can’t get any closer parking to the event place.  Once we reached at the registration counter, we registered ourselves and we were given the race bibs. The bibs have a small triangle flag attached to it which will represent our lives during the run. We have to keep the flag safe from the zombies...
