It's a wrap!

Image
Alhamdulillah praise to Allah, I have finally completed this chapter of life. I can't believe that this phase of my live has finally come to an end. To be honest, I'm quite sad that it has ended. I really enjoyed the classes, the assignments, the people that I met, the fun times that I had in the past 12 months. It was really a nice break from work and actually I'm in no rush to go back to the working world. As for now, I'm going to enjoy my break while it lasts and I'm officially penanam anggur terhormat (read: unemployed). Good night! My night and day for the past 3 months One with my supervisor. Please give me good marks for my dissertation Thank you both for all your support for the past 12 months Done done done..yes, I've mastered my dissertation

The Tongue Twister Mexican Food

Image
In the midst of proofreading my dissertation, a friend invited for lunch at the Prayer Hall today. It was actually a last minute farewell for a friend who is going back to Netherlands. So, this friend of mine is Mexican and she cooked for us Mexican food. I was excited as the closest ever to a Mexican food that I ever had was Nacho's, and it's not even a proper Mexican dish. What did she cooked for us? The dishes were called "Chilaquiles con huevo estrellado" and "Tinga de pollo". The names are quite hard to pronounce, quite a tongue twister I must say. So, what are these dishes? Chilaquiles con huevo estrellado - tortilla chips, with salsa sauce, topped with cheese, sour cream and sunny side up egg Tinga de pollo - shredded chicken in salsa sauce Here's what the dish looked like. Can you guess which one is which? The green stuff is just normal salad..hehe

The Hidden Gem of Shropshire

Image
Hi all, How's are you all coping with the fasting month? I hope everything is going fine so far. This post will be about my recent 2 days 1 night trip to Shropshire, a county in the West Midlands, England. The trip was kind of impromptu as I was invited by my junior who wanted a company for this trip as she wanted a getaway before flying back to Malaysia for her summer holiday. As I was busy with dissertation and class I kind of think I need a getaway before I immerse myself in full on dissertation mode; though I've got another module to complete before I can focus 100% on dissertation. So we took a the Virgin train from Coventry to Shrewsbury (direct service) and the journey was about one hour and a half. Once we arrived at Shresbury, we had to change train to get to Church Stretton. Church Stretton is a historic Market town well known for its scenic walking paths and that's what we planned to do here. We've arrived in Shrewsbury Here to enjoy the natural be...

Presenting Prezi

Image
Hello everyone, Are you always doing presentation and bored with PowerPoint? Well, there's a cool presentation software that I was introduced to called Prezi . It's an online presentation program that moves through a non-linear presentation on path as opposed to using slides. Its has better graphic and makes your presentation more interesting than the classic PowerPoint. Check the video below to know what it looks like: All you have to do is create a public account (or you can buy a pro account) and start Prezentin! The presentation is saved onto a cloud and you can access it anywhere as long as you have internet connection. Plus, it has a similar feature as Google Slide where multiple people can work on the presentation at the same time as long as they have a Prezi account.  Though the software has its limitation where you cannot create smart art. Besides that if you want to insert a picture, you cannot copy it from the source and paste it here. You have to save the...

5 Tips for Mountain Walking in Snowdonia

Image
Last weekend it was the early May bank holiday in the UK, so a few friends decided to head up to Snowdonia National Park for a 2 days 1 night trip. The main aim of the trip was to hike up the Snowdon mountain itself. For those of you who are not familiar with Snowdonia, it is actually on of the highest mountain in Wales with 1,085m above sea level. Here are my 5 tips for mountain walking in Snowdon.  1. Check time of visit . First and foremost, plan at what time of the year do you plan to come here. It is better to visit during between April to September; though I would suggest during the summer months. Also, ensure you have enough time to climb up and come back down before dark. The Llanberis path takes about 6 hours return trip. Plan your time! 2. Check the weather . Make sure you check the weather before you come here and ensure that the forecast only says sunny. Even if there's a chance of rain during the day; you will not see the beautiful view at the summit as it wil...

Playing Giada

Image
I've been playing Giada for the past few days. I don't know why, but I was in the mood to cook. Though it doesn't help that I'm eating alone. So I don't know what effect it has on my kgs. But, who cares; you've got to enjoy life while you can right? So what's been cooking in my kitchen? give your eye a feast..hahahaha *evil laugh* Fuel for body. My breakfast for champion Jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn filling. Recipe in this blog. Vegetarian japchae (korean glass noodle) Tortilla pizza from my nearly expired tortilla and I didn't want to make a wrap out of it. Crispy chicken nachos. You can hardly see the chicken underneath the tortilla chips. Fruit cocktail pudding. I didn't have any evaporated milk or colouring at home; so I used fresh milk instead to give some "colouring" to it Not in the pics: Bubur jagung and KFC style fried chicken.
