London yo!

I'm on a spree of uploading my blog with my holiday details. I have limited access to internet so I will try to update as much as I can while I have it.

After Cardiff, we head to London stopping at Bath, Stonehenge and Donnington Castle on the way. Nothing much going on since it was Christmas Day. The roads were very clear. We arrived in London around 4pm. We stopped at Windsor and took photo at Windsor Castle and Legoland before heading to Heathrow Airport to drop the car. Once we drop the car, it was already about 5.30pm. Then we got a cab from the airport and head to Whitechapel where we will be staying at one of the Queens Mary Uni student resident thanks to Faiz's friends.

All the shops were closed even the public transport were not operating. So much for holiday. Well the next day is boxing day or more well known for shopping day. Seriously I don't understand British. They shopped like there's no tomorrow. The shops were packed that you will feel suffocated if you stay there for a long time and the line to pay for your stuff is like miles long. If you were only buying one small stuff, don't even bother lining up. It's not worth it. But if you really want that stuff just go ahead and used up all you time lining up.

Not only the shops were full of people, but the streets are also packed. You cannot stay at the side of the walk without getting pushed. That's how bad it was. On top of it all, the sale were crazy, you can get a top for 2 pounds and branded items for a real good deal. But you just have to be patient with the pushing and all. We did in the end spend the whole boxing day shopping though we said that we didn't want to shop much.

Boxing Day in London. Very hectic and sooo many people.
The next day we went to Buckingham palace, Westminster abbey, Trafalgar square and all the must see places that we supposed to go. But, we didn't had the chance to go to Kensington Palace as it was already dark. Me and Hana want to go to Madame Tussaud but the line was line miles away and we only had couple of hours before the daylight end so we said that we leave it till we came back to London on the 12th. But it seems that Hana have different ideas now. hehe..

On 28th Dec before we flew to Amsterdam, we walked on London Bridge and visited Tower o London near Tower Bridge. The castle has its own history being one of the castle being used dated back to William the Conqueror. The admission price was GBP14.50 for student. Then we took National express bus from London Victoria Coach Station to Gatwick Airport which took us about 40mins to reach the airport and costs GBP7.50 per person.

Bye UK and hello Europe
Well, nothing much happened in London. It's easy to get halal food there plus the food in UK and London especially is quite cheap so we really had no problem dining there. I'll update later on our Europe trip. So many things have happened in the last week and so many things to tell.

Till then..
